Combat Mission Shock Force doesn’t have much for the imagination if you think about its name. Yes, it’s an impressive war and strategy game for those who love this kind of entertainment. Not only the name is shocking and complete but the game itself is too. Starting from the interface with a high-tech look and the load and exciting music, everything gets along very well in this war game.
A very important characteristic of Combat Mission Shock Force for the public which usually play this type of games is that it can be played over a network and Internet. So you will be able to create your own forces gathering people from all over the world, or play with friends from home.
Another excellent feature of the game is that it includes a Scenery Editor which, as its name suggests, will allow you to create your customized sceneries to play. Beginning from the basic elements provided by the game, and within a few steps you will be enjoying and sharing your creations. Here is where is good to mention that the demo free downloadable version has some limitations, in this and other regards. Let’s take a look to the list:
* The demo includes three scenarios which can be played as either US or Syrian
* It also includes a fourth scenario, "Demo Training" which was designed to only be played from the US perspective
* All multiplayer modes are active (TCP-IP, PBEM, Hotseat)
* You can access the full Game Editor, but the save function is disabled.
* The original full game manual is included as a .pdf file
* The demo scenarios are only in English.
